How does NetLinker handle email with ETRN mode?
If you get a static IP address at your ISP, you can chose ETRN mail server mode. This option does not require you to set up a specific mailbox at your ISP. Your ISP only needs to add a MX record for your mail server.
With ETRN, NetLinker acts as a stand-alone mail server which sends/receives e-mail directly to/from the Internet when the connection to ISP is up. In the case of downtime, NetLinker allows the ISP to queue the incoming mail at their site.
NetLinker will automatically connect to the ISP at pre-configured intervals to fetch all mail.
